my favourite part of athletics

my favourite part of athletics is high jump because I like doing the scissor kick.

My second favourite part of athletics is the long jump.  Because I like runing fast and jumping at the same time.

I did not like the 100m sprint because I tried  to do my hardest but I lost and my time was 20:03. Next year I will run faster.  

Bean experiment

• Method:

• step 1.   get a paper towel and wet it

• step 2. get a seed and put the seed in the cup              

• step 3. wait for a day and take the seed out                      

• step 4. put some dirt in the cup and plant the bean seed in the soil                                        

• step 5.  keep on watering it each day and make sure it gets some sun.  

• step 6. watch it grow!                            

All blacks photo

The All Blacks photo was awesome. We were pretending to be an excited crowd. Some people had their mouths  open and some people got their faces painted. I got my face painted. My face colour was black, just like the All blacks. The All Blacks are versing Argintina at our Waikato Stadium. My favorite All Black is Dan Carter. He can do high kicks and run super fast.

Gym sport competiton

The gym sport competiton looked harder then ever. It looked like propper gymnastics. We tried hard. We did not dance in time. We tried to come 1st but we ended up coming  2nd.

Buddy reading with Room 4 !

Every week we go to Room 4 for buddy reading. My buddy is Jordan. He is a good reader. He knows how to spell too. He is so clever. I was a good buddy because I helped him sound the words out. He was very very good at sounding the words out.  I knew him when he first started school.

Making Chinese Kites and Li Cunxin

My kite has one big dragon and one small dragon on it. I made spikes around the faces, one spike was red and one spike was yellow.  It is a Chinese flag and red and black are the colours of China. Li Cunxin was a very very little when he flew a kite, (same as  we made ours). His family  was very very  poor. They sometimes had to eat tree bark.  It would be disgusting to  taste.   He had no water and no electricity. He had to sleep on the ground. Li Cunxin left his family  to become a ballet dancer.

Making garments with Room 4

Room 4 and  Room 8 used news paper and coloured paper to make costumes. I learnt to take an idea, then draw it, then make it using paper. Here is a picture of our garments. I hope you enjoy looking at them.

Gym spots

At gymsports Aidan and I had to put our backs together like

an upside down v. We had to lean on each others backs. If one falls it means we are not balanced.

Poetry week

At poetry week I liked a poem called  Zebra. It is cool like what my friend made.  I enjoyed sharing the poems at school. Some are funny, scary, sad and angry.

They have to have repitition
poems can have rhyming and onomatopea.

New museum trip!

This is how you make a costume.

Danish Rounders

Danish Rounders is cool and runing around and the first time I am going  hard  to beat the balls back in the hoop. I am fast, but  it    makes you get puffed out. When you are fielding  the cool thing is  throwing the balls back to the hoop.

Me poster

The me posters are looking  good with colour because they look cool. We are going to get to finish them today. I am going to be a wrestler when I get older. Today it is wrap free Wednesday. I have no wrappers.

Assembly

The Harlem shake was funny and Oisin was in the unicorn mask if you open the mask you will see his face and this is me holding our class award. We were the first class to do the first assembly for 2013.

Bush walk

The tawa tree was  big and Hotuamaea swag across the Waikato river with a vine .  

Mirror photo

The mirror photo I like it so cool because the trees are so scary and the leaves are so cool and the air was fresh. The photo was so good.

Rosie show at Vardon school

The Rosie show was cool because all I liked the funny parts.
